Libby's Birthday Celebration

August 29th was a big day for Amy and Shane's baby girl. Ms. Libby turned two years old and had a very big birthday celebration. Here are a couple of pictures from her big day. I am 21 weeks pregnant in these pictures. Finally reached the half way mark!! YAY!!!

August 4th....a BIG day!

On August 4th this year we found out that we were having a little girl!! Yes, we were both counting our blessings. We both really wanted a baby girl! However, we would have been happy with whatever God blessed us with. We are so excited to become the proud parents of our baby girl who is growing ever so quickly in mommy's tummy. On the day we found out what we were having I came home to a bouquet of flowers from my awesome husband and daddy! The card read..."I will always love both of my girls! Love your hubby" I melted the minute I read the card! I knew there was a reason why I married this man! I love him so much and can't wait to see him in action as a daddy!! He makes me smile daily asking about his baby girl, Ms. Brynley Nicole! Below are some pictures of the bouquet of flowers I got!

Gary Allan Concert.....15 Weeks Pregnant!

Back in July Ryan and I went to a Gary Allan concert here in Midland at the Citibank ballpark. We went with our neighbors, and best friends, Shane and Amy. We had a great time and I wanted to share some pictures with you all from that night. I am 15 weeks pregnant in all of these pictures. I really hope that Brynley looks like her daddy....she will be so cute!

It's a..........GIRL!!!!!

I know it has been a while since I have gotten on here and updated things. Ryan and I are now expecting our first child! We went to the doctor on Tuesday this week and found out that we are having a little girl. We already have her name picked out, but we are working out the spelling right now. We are so excited and for some reason I feel as if she is already wrapping her daddy around her little finger....hhhmmmm. I wouldn't know anything about that! haha! What else has been going on the past couple of months. Work, of course, for both of us. I worked at a different school this summer for a little extra cash. Thank goodness because that is buying our baby furniture! Ryan also found out that he passed his second test that he took about 7 weeks ago. I am so proud of him!! Ryan has been staying very busy in our yard. He has completely re-done the front flowerbeds. Though they are not completely finished, they look awesome! We just need to add some colorful plants to them now. We already have some plants, but now I want the bright colors! We are staying busy planning for the arrival for our baby girl. I will be better at keeping this blog updated.

Note: I will get a video posted as soon as I can. I am having trouble getting the sonogram pictures on here :(

Callie & Baby Jonah's Baby Shower

I had tons of fun this weekend hosting my first baby shower ever! Mom and I spent lots of time bonding together decorating for this special occassion. We had a good time. Now mom can't wait for her own grandchild! Callie is due the end of April and she and Shannon drove down for her baby shower here in Midland. We had lots of fun and got to do lots of much needed catching up. I also got to feel baby Jonah send waves rolling across Cal's belly. It was the the most amazing thing I have ever felt or seen. Callie is such a beautiful girl and is going to be a great mommy. It was great getting to see everyone. We had a good turnout for the shower and Callie got lots of goodies for baby Jonah. He is going to get the award for best dressed for sure! Here are a couple of pictures from the shower.

So proud of my hubby!

Ryan called me on Thursday afternoon to let me know that he got an "Exceeds Expectations" on his annual review this year. I am so proud of him. He will get a raise, which will hopefully mean a larger bonus next year. He is doing such a good job at his new job and he enjoys what he truly enjoys what he is doing. I love you babe! Keep up the good work!

The Thompson Wedding

Last weekend Ryan and I got to make a trip to San Antonio and spend a little time on the Riverwalk and a little time with friends. Katie and JT tied the knot on Saturday, February 21, and the wedding was beautiful! I was so honored to be able to stand next to Katie and such a joyous occasion. It felt good to return the favor she had given me almost a year ago. Here are a couple of pictures from the wedding. You may also notice my new hair cut and color. It took me a couple of days to fall in love with it, but I like it much more now. I especially like it when my husband pays me the most loving, sweet compliments like he has been lately! It took some getting used to, but I love it now!

It feels so good to be loved

Ryan and I had promised not to get each other anything on Valentine's Day. We were just going to get each other a card, cook dinner, and hang out on this lover's holiday. But when I got home from work on Friday, Ryan had a present wrapped and card waiting for me. Little did he know that I had already planned in the back of my mind what I was going to do if he suprised me. When I saw the present I quickly jumped in my car and headed to the store to get Ryan's valentine's gift. We celebrated a day early on Friday night. He bought me a beautiful vase that you put scented oil and sticks in. The card was the sweetest thing I have ever read! Ryan got an Edible Fruit arrangement from Edible arrangements. We also were loved by more than just each other. My mom and dad got us both a small present and took us to dinner. Ryan got a spanish valentine's card from my parents and a bag of chocolate....it was hilarious!! I got a bouquet of roses and flowers and a very sweet card. We also got cards in the mail with monetary donations inside! We are so fortunate to be loved by so many! We hope that everyone elses holiday was just as good as ours if not better!

Is it baby fever???

My mother and I are getting ready to give my life long best friend, Callie, a baby shower. She is expecting baby Jonah to arrive on my birthday...April 25th!! haha, just kidding...but he is supposed to arrive on April 29th. I have had so much fun buying things and making things for the shower! Some days makes me really want to start our family, but I know God will tell us when the time is right. So I will patiently await the best time for us to begin our family. In the mean time I am going to have all the fun I want and can shopping for Cal's baby and very soon shopping for Mrs. Amber's baby. Amber only has 4 more weeks to go to be out of the first trimester. Yay!! I am so excited for her and Jarrett....my gut feeling says Amber will be having a baby girl. We will see if I am right or not in a few more months! Can't wait for the baby showers!

He did it!

Ryan called me early this morning to inform me that he had passed his API test he took back in December. I am so proud of him, but knew all along that he would Ace it! We will have to celebrate when he gets back! I love you babe!

Ringing in the New Year

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend some time with our friends while we were in Oklahoma City. Everytime we visit we realize how much we truly miss them. We had a great time in Oklahoma City with them on New Year's Eve. We went to a very fine restaurant and had a 4 course meal. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to eat! I know, sounds crazy, but really we got to talk and hang out....it was a great time. Then we headed over to Tyler's house and hung out a bit, then on to Chad's sister's house. We ended the night fairly early and back out Mom & Dad Burson's house for the night. Here are a couple of pics of us & our Oklahoma friends!

Christmas with the Burson Family

I have finally gotten a chance to update our blog page. We were fortunate enough to be able to spend 6 days in Oklahoma City with Ryan's family. We had such a good time and truly enjoyed visiting with everyone. I had lots of fun decorating Ronnie & Claire's house! We had a wonderful Christmas with them and got lots of very nice gifts. Our favorite gifts of all were the new sitting bench and toaster oven!!! The bench looks beautiful in our bedroom! We love the new toaster oven even though we have yet to use it. Ryan is too afraid of getting it dirty...isn't that what it is for? Well I know we will get lots of good use out of it in the very near future. Ryan loved the OSU clock he got and I got to go on a shopping spree at Hobby Lobby thanks to Eric! We miss our family in Oklahoma bunches and look forward to a visit with them again soon. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas with the Burson Family...enjoy!
